Something about Kellie’s CRIBS experience:
Working as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager in a CRADLE5 Research Trial that focused on reducing maternal and foetal mortality and morbidity has been an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience. The trial aims to assess the impact of a national scale-up, including in the most rural areas, and evaluate how the CRADLE package can be sustainably embedded into routine clinical pathways.
Overall, my experience as an M&E Manager in this health research trial has been immensely fulfilling. It has allowed me to contribute to improving maternal and foetal health outcomes and ensure that the CRADLE device and training package can be effectively and sustainably embedded into healthcare systems.
What have been the most rewarding aspects of Kellie’s work?
The most rewarding aspect of my work in the CRIBS program has been the tangible impact on improving health outcomes for women and children in Sierra Leone through the impact stories and commendation by the Ministry of Health in improving the lives of many in Sierra Leone.
Something personal
I find immense satisfaction in making a tangible difference in the health sector. Whether it’s developing M&E strategies, overseeing impactful programs, or training healthcare staff, I enjoy every aspect of my work that contributes to better health outcomes for women and children.
Future aspirations…
As I continue my journey in the health sector, my future aspirations are deeply rooted in my commitment to improving health outcomes in Sierra Leone.
I wish to continue learning and plan to pursue further education and training in monitoring and managing health programs, and evaluation to stay at the forefront of the field.
